Barnstormers Theatre Presents The Butterfingers Angel, Mary and Joseph, Herod the Nut, and the Slaughter of 12 hit Carols in a Pear Tree 12/9/2011 - 12/11/2011, 8pm Fri-Sat & 2pm Sun
Barnstormers Theatre 112 NE Evelyn By William Gibson; Directed by Susan Russell
Written by his church by the playwright best known for the Miracle Worker, this high spirited, yet spiritual play offers up an upbeat retelling of the Nativity story. A bumbling young Angel is sent by a taciturn God to manifest his divine plan for an aging, jealous Joseph and a resolutely virginal Mary. The nervous Angel worries his way from Annunciation to Bethlehem to Birth. Gibson's script is at times hilariuos, at other times thoughtful and suggets that a loving act is our redeemer when God seems silent.
Suitable for ages 10 and up to all faiths.
Tickets: $14, children 8 and under $5 presented by : Barnstormers Theatre Group
